1932 Pontiac:

The styling, accessories and the original V8 engine sets this rumble seat coupe apart from other Pontiacs for many years. The V8 engine was used in only 1932 Pontiac's. This V8 engine was originally used in the Oakland the parent comany to Pontiac! Oakland Motor Car Company announced a new model at the January 1926 New York auto show. This new Pontiac model was to expand the line of cars offered by General Motors. Pontiac's popularity grew while the Oakland line lost its appeal. The V8 engine was offered in the Oakland in 1930. After Oakland was dropped from the line, Pontiac used the V8 engine only in 1932. 1933 through 1954 Pontiac used a straight 8 flat head engine. The overhad valve V8 was introduced in 1955.
