1971 Olds 442:

The Antique Auto Shop has restored numerous "Muscle Cars". A beautiful example nearing the end of the muscle car era is this black 1971 "442" convertible. In the early 70's the muscle cars were de-tuned and started appearing with pollution equipment. Although this 1971 "442" had a 455 CID V8 engine, it only produced 340 H.P., down 25 H.P. from the previous year. Many of the muscle cars in the early 70's maintained their persona as strong and bold, however more luxury options were available. This brute is tamed with options like power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, and automatic transmission. Today many of the early 70's muscle cars are collectable because they are very drivable having many of the modern day creature comforts.
